If the workplace has several locations far apart from each other (separate building, separate floor, distant work area within the site), a single box is not enough on its own: equipment should be available everywhere. The same applies if the activity is more hazardous than average.

The box is not a one-time purchase

The sterile dressings in the box expire, and used items must be replaced. Refill packs are designed for this purpose, so you don't need to buy a new box. It's worth checking the contents once a year and replacing expired items: a box full of expired dressings is of little use in an accident.

The first aid station must be marked

First aid equipment should be kept in a clearly visible, easily and quickly accessible location, protected from contamination, and the first aid station and the route leading to it should be marked. For this, we use photoluminescent green signs, which you can find in the safety signs category. The eyewash station sign is also available there.

Spill control and chemicals

Where oil, fuel or chemicals are stored or handled, preparations must also be made for absorbing and collecting spilled substances. Spill control equipment serves this purpose: prompt action can prevent soil contamination, slip hazards and, in many cases, fire as well.

Sterile dressings can be used for a limited period after sterilization, typically a few years. The expiry date is shown on the packaging, and expired items must be replaced.

Can I get a refill for it?
